Introduction to Loss Control

Most losses are predictable and preventable. This full-day course will provide you with an overview of loss control topics. You will learn the fundamentals for recognizing, evaluating and controlling those situations that initiate unintentional and unplanned losses. This course is part of the Minnesota Safety Council and Minnesota OSHA Basic Workplace Safety Certificate.
Topics include incident investigation, workers’ compensation, inspections, fire protection, electrical safety and more.

Jan Fedora has worked with the Minnesota Safety Council for over 20 years as an Occupational Safety and Health Consultant. She has also served on the Panel of Advisors, Governor’s Awards Committee, taught at the Minnesota Safety & Health Conference, and conducted training with companies throughout Minnesota on OSHA standards, ergonomics, bloodborne pathogens, management skills, and HR issues, among others. Jan has a business degree from Augsburg College and a Secondary Teaching Certificate from Dakota County Technical College.
