OSHA #503 - Update for General Industry Outreach Trainers

This course is designed for Outreach Training Program trainers who have completed course OSHA 501 Trainer Course in Occupational Safety and Health Standards for General Industry and who are authorized trainers in the OSHA Outreach Training Program. The course provides an update on OSHA General Industry Standards, policies, and regulations. Upon course completion students will have the ability to demonstrate continued professional development in their field by applying effective adult learning principles and interactive training techniques to clearly identify, define, and explain general industry hazards and acceptable corrective measures as they continue to teach the 10- and 30-hour General Industry Outreach Training Program classes.

Bill Stuart, MPH, CSP

William R Stuart, MPH, CSP is a lifelong resident of Minnesota. He obtained his Master Degree in Public Health from the University of Minnesota. Bill has over 28 years of experience in the Environmental, Health and Safety field, making his move to the Minnesota Safety Council a natural fit. Bill's great passion is relationship building and bringing the concepts of safety and safety management to a level that is easy to grasp and understandable for everybody. After all, everybody is responsible for safety — Right? Prior to coming to the Minnesota Safety Council, Bill worked for several Fortune 500 companies and at one time served as Global Environmental, Health and Safety Director. In this and many other roles (including several years as a consultant for MN OSHA), he traveled the world, helping to reduce the risk of injury and illness for thousands of workers.


Terry Larson, GSP

Terry S. Larson, GSP is a lifelong resident of Minnesota. He obtained his Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Safety from Waldorf University. Prior to coming to the Minnesota Safety Council, Terry worked in the general industry field as well as the Minnesota Army National Guard. In these roles he helped to reduce the risk of injury and illness for workers. Terry’s passion lies in collaborating across boundaries to find common ground in delivering safety education and training programs to create the safest possible work area.
