Process Hazard Analysis 101

A Process Hazard Analysis (PHA) is one of the key requirements of the OSHA Process Safety Management Standard (PSM) Standard 29CFR 1910.119 €. A PHA must be conducted on each process covered by the Standard to accomplish a detailed analysis of the hazards of the process and the safeguards available to manage these hazards. PHAs are also required or recommended for hazard assessments involving combustible dust and reactive chemicals. Investigations by both OSHA and EPA have identified inadequate PHAs as a major contributing cause to many serious process incidents. This new one-day workshop will provide an overview of the OSHA PSM and EPA RMP regulations.
