Identifying Your Safety Culture

Safety culture CAN be measured! Join us for this in-depth look at your current safety culture and take away ideas to move your culture in a positive direction. Attendees will learn the fundamental pillars of a successful safety culture and how to recognize them in day-to-day operations. Class exercises offer the chance to explore standards of practice, motivation theories, and methods to implement a positive safety culture. Best of all, participants will evaluate their company’s current safety culture using standard scoring models and methodology.

Cynthia Braun, CSP, CHMM and CET    
Cynthia Braun’s 27-year career includes consulting and training in occupational safety and health, environmental, industrial hygiene, and transportation compliance. She specializes in developing and auditing safety management systems (ANSI Z10, 45001, VPP), conducting OSHA compliance audits, writing policies/ programs/procedures, training all levels of employees, and providing oversight on construction and manufacturing worksites.

Ms. Braun achieved the ASSP’s ISO 45001 and Executive Safety Management Certificate Programs and a paralegal certificate from the State of Colorado. She is a speaker and instructor for ASSP and the Minnesota Safety Council (since 2004), as well as the OSHA Training Institute and National Safety Council since 1995).
