Ergonomics – Conducting Workplace Assessments

This session will cover practical, effective and inexpensive ergonomic strategies to address musculoskeletal injury prevention in the work place. Work-related musculoskeletal disorders such as back problems, tendinitis and carpal tunnel syndrome and ways to control them will be discussed. Topics covered will include lifting and other material handling problems, working postures, and workstation design and repetitive work in both office and industrial settings. Emphasis will be on practical problem identification and problem solving approaches.
