Process Hazard Analysis (PHA) Leader Course

A Process Hazard Analysis (PHA) is one of the key requirements of the OSHA Process Safety Management Standard (PSM) Standard {29CFR 1910.119(e)}. A PHA must be conducted on each process covered by the Standard to accomplish a detailed analysis of the hazards of the process and the safeguards available to manage these hazards. PHAs are also required or recommended for hazard assessments involving combustible dust and reactive chemicals. Investigations by both OSHA and the US Chemical Safety and Hazard Review Board have identified inadequate PHAs as a major contributing cause to many serious process incidents.

Participants are requested to bring a notebook computer to the class if possible.
