Minnesota Injury Facts 2006 Edition: Fatal Injuries

Fatal unintentional injuries ("accidents") take the lives of 1,687 Minnesotans on average each year. Nearly 40 percent of these deaths are traffic-related; another 30 percent are caused by falls. Most are preventable.
