Minnesota Injury Facts 2008 Edition: Fatal Injuries

Fatal unintentional injuries ("accidents") take the lives of more than 1,700 Minnesotans on average each year. Slightly more than 34% are caused by falls; nearly 34% more are traffic related. Most are preventable.
